Christmas Eve/Day Food
Ok to get away from the covid and vaccine talks, what is everyone having/making for Christmas Eve/Day?
Other family member is having Italian for Christmas Day so I am in charge of Christmas Eve. Leaning towards catering. No Italian of course, No fish as not a fish eating crowd.
Suggestions from places around the Central Suffolk area? Anything you have gotten in the past and would recommend.
Thanks.
Sorry, forgot to add that there will be 9 of us dining.

Re: Christmas Eve/Day Food
Check out Lombardi's market- I know you said no Italian but they have like a 12 page book of catering options across all food types- so not just Italian.
How casual did you want to go? If you want to do like sandwiches and wraps and stuff, Chubs is excellent for that.

I will have to check them out.
Not too casual since it is Christmas Eve and there is only 9 of us. I will have to add that to my post

Christmas Eve/Day Food
We do cocktail-hour style. Just a bunch of apps rotated out on the kitchen island all day.

Check out Carver's in Holbrook (I think). We recently went to a party catered by them and the food was really great.
We do italian and fish on Christmas eve and then Christmas day is usually prime rib with sides.

I have a friend with an empanada business so we ordered empanadas and rice/beans through her for christmas eve. My kids love them. Christmas day I will cook even though I hate it.

Re: Christmas Eve/Day Food
For Xmas Day I am making a whole beef tenderloin with red wine sauce, haricot verts with herb butter, hasselback potatoes and homemade buttery dinner rolls.
Xmas Eve we're going out to eat.

we ordered two family meal deals from a local restaurant. you get a salad, pasta, and entree for $46, all half trays. We did two different salads, penne vodka, rigatoni bolognese, chicken marsala, and sausage and meatballs. We are a group of like 12 people

Yum sounds so good. We are having the pasta and eggplant, meatballs, chicken parm, salad for xmas day so tried to stay away from anything Italian or with sauce.
