Revlon one-step

Does this really work? I usually use a straightener or a straightening brush, but all those require to dry the hair before hand.

This one step does it all at once. Seems too good to be true.

I have this and use it daily. If you have thick hair then you’re going to want to let it dry before you use the device. My hair is somewhat curly so I dry the top half and then usually put it up in a bun. If/when I take it down later that day my hair will have a really nice wave. If I dry all of my hair then it usually sits a bit straighter than I would prefer but still looks nice. Given the price point I would definitely recommend.

Re: Revlon one-step

I bought it and hated it, but I have nutty hair. My hair is VERY thick, course, wavy and frizzy. It didn't give me the sleekness that a flat iron does. It made my hair very full which I hated.
And, I kept burning my neck with it. LOL.

But, with that said - I researched it A LOT before I bought it and people seem to just love it.

I don’t love the way it leaves my hair, but it works great for my daughter, we both have thick hair and have to let it air dry for a bit before using it.

I got it for Christmas and have used it twice. I have hair that naturally dries a bit frizzy and wavy. I like it better than the straightener because there is some volume to my hair after I use it. I dry my hair about 70% with a regular dryer and then section it and finish it off with the revlon.

Re: Revlon one-step

I tried it and wasn’t a fan. It was burning my hair. I purchased the Lange version of it and it’s much better. It’s made better. Not plastic

I have long, very curly, can be frizzy hair. So it took a lot of going over it to get it straight and smooth.

My MiL has medium length straight hair and absolutely loves the revlon brush. So I think it depends on your hair type

I have it - my hair is thick too - I can’t dry my hair with it completely - I either air dry or use a reg dryer first and then finish with it.

Re: Revlon one-step

Thanks everyone for your replies!

I think I’m looking for something that doesn’t exist. I wanted something that could dry from the very beginning and straighten at the same time and not have to dry it 70-80% and then start using this tool.

I generally have straight, fine, yet thick, hair with some wave to it. When I do style it for a bit more shine and sleekness, I air dry and then use a straightener. I just recently got a straightening brush that is a bit quicker, but it still works on dry hair only.

Other days, I air dry and put it back neatly.

Oh well.

My sister and my mil have it. They absolutely love it. I used to blow dry my hair for years but then I got used to using the straightener. I do wanna go back to blow drying though cause it’s less damaging and I think I’ll give the revlon hair dryer a try considering my sister and mil rave about it.

I use it with wet hair (no drying with another dryer first just a little air dry while I am getting dressed) and it works well.

Interesting. My hair is thick in the back, so air drying to like 40% takes at least 2 hours. How long does air drying normally take you?

I have it and love it. They came out with the Plus version that fixes all the things people complain about but i like the old version better. FYi, i have coarse, very curly hair and it straightens it and makes it feel like silk

It took me a while to like it, tbh. I use a turbi-twist thing, then dry my hair with the revlon, then smooth it with a regular dryer and brush. It sounds time consuming but it's actually faster this way than just a brush and dryer alone.

My hair is long and thin but naturally very curly. My hair doesn't dry evenly when air drying - the front pieces dry almost immediately but the back can take a while.
