Whoopi Goldberg Suspended

Since The View seems to constantly call out for people to be cancelled, and the ignorance of her statement, do you feel a suspension was enough?
Her statement was wrong and although she apologized, she was adamant about her opinion when she first said it (I saw the clip). The rest of panel appeared uncomfortable and when someone tried to correct her- she maintained her position.

I feel the suspension was too much.
She chose the wrong words in the moment on live tv based on her feelings and experiences around race, was corrected numerous times the rest of that day and night.
The very next morning on the show she admitted she was wrong and learned more about why.

They took Roseanne off the air as well as Last Man Standing so she SHOULD be fired, not just taken off for 2 weeks.
I like her as an actress. As a living, breathing, liberal, IRL, not so much and who even still watches that show?

That is not why she got cancelled. She made a racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett.

Honestly I am so sick of this cancel culture and think the suspension was too much. I don’t like the view or care too much for Whoopi. But in the same breath, I do agree the slap on wrist punishment is biased because she’s black compared to what would have happened if she was white..
I am not sure if any of you watch the RHOSLC but Mary, a black cast member said a racist comment about black people the first year . Bravo pretty much let it go, then this year she said disgusting things about Mexicans and Asians. They addressed it slightly but no where near how it should’ve been. They didn’t even fire her, she ended up quitting for a different reason. Why did Bravo let it go because she is black. Leanne from Dallas got fired and scrutinized for calling a Mexican, Mexican lol. But she’s white, so it’s ok.

I think the View should be canceled completely - it's a waste of airtime lol.
And I do think cancel culture has gotten out of control - especially for those who are having past items brought to light... I'm sure if you dig deep enough you can find incriminating dirt on a lot of people in the public view.

Personally I do not believe in cancel culture but since Hollywood seems so enthralled with it, then she should have been fired. People have been fired for much less.
That whole show should be cancelled because it is the most hateful show I have ever seen on TV. Joy is disgusting with her comments and Sunny is really no better. She is nasty.
If they cancelled Billy Bush for laughing at something Trump said years ago, fired Roseanne for saying a nasty tweet, then the whole View should be bye bye.
