I watched it Friday night. I do not understand how these women can be so incredibly stupid. I don't think I would even loan a family member that kind of money.
Money aside (it’s easy for us to see it in hindsight), the first woman got on a private jet within 24 hours of knowing him. Hello? Trafficking?
Yes just the overall stupidity and nativity is overwhelming. Maybe if it was a 15 year old but these were adult women. When I was in my 20s I could never get over my friends going home with guys they never met. I am a generally untrusting person thou.
Same! I still don't trust anyone i don't know. Always had street smarts though. Couldn't take me for a fool. Trying to raise my own the same way.
If you ever watch Social Catfish on You Tube you will be amazed at the sheer number of women who are swindled by romance scammers . And I am not even talking about ones they have met.... I am talking like they never met the guy in person and are sending thousands upon thousands of dollars in gift cards and bitcoin. And it's always a stolen picture of some young, amazing looking hunk, like movie star quality men and the women are older women and not even attractive. You often wonder what they are thinking that a guy young enough to be their son (Or even grandson) would be madly in love with them and never even met in person And then in the comments you always get the people saying- don't say it can never happen to you because it can happen to ANYONE! And I'm like NO it can never happen to me because it's very simple to avoid- just follow this one rule....NEVER SEND SOMEONE YOU HAVE NOT MET IN PERSON MONEY. NEVER. NOT ONCE. NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY. NEVER. Make that your one rule and this will never happen to you. I feel like they need to start educating women about this like they educate children about drugs or whatever. You wouldn't think you'd have to tell a grown adult that if a devastatingly handsome man that is way out of your league professes his undying love for you before you even meet, don't send him money, it's a scam...but apparently we do...

Re: The Tinder Swindler
The podcast isn't bad. It's on Spotify under "The Making of a Swindler."
They give a tiny bit more insight into the bodyguard and drivers he had.

Re: The Tinder Swindler
I finally watched it! I cannot believe the way people are so quick to just give money (A LOT of money!) over to pretty much a stranger. SO crazy!!!
