Downsizing from a purse
I feel like as i"m getting older, I want to be as hands free as possible. I've been using smaller bags/crossbody but I still get annoyed with it hanging on me or pulling at my hair, or choking me when I bend down.
Anyone NOT take their world with them when they run errands or go to work?
How do you manage?

I will just take my wallet (small), keys and phone in my pockets on the weekends when running errands and shopping.
When we go out I take a crossbody with my wallet and phone.
Other places my full pocketbook.

Downsizing from a purse
I only use a big bag for work. Everywhere else I use a crossbody or just my wallet if I’m running in and out of a store.

Downsizing from a purse
I have a small cross body that basically fits my money, phone, mask, credit cards and a small thing of hand sanitizer. I use that for most errands.
If I need to bring a bigger bag I just throw the cross body into it.

Same. I make sure I have big pockets for essentials. No daily bag since the diaper era came to a close.
Although I have been eyeing fanny-packs differently.

Wristlet with hand strap. I have seriously downsized my bags. But I hate cross body styles because they hurt my neck. I just get bags with regular straps.

I have yet to figure out how to downsize my purse, I like always having specific items with me and I feel that smaller bags are just too small.

Same but I feel like every situation is different where I don’t need as many things for different places.
I see girls out at clubs that have these huge bags. I could never carry that much and usually have a wristlet or crossbody.

I'm at the point where I carry almost nothing with me. I take my debit card and license and keep those in my back pocket (in jeans/shorts) and keep my phone in my hand. My single car key goes in my pocket also. I'm going to get an Apple Watch soon so i can start leaving my iphone at home when i go to the store and minimize more.

I have a bag for work that is always with me. I don’t leave without it. I can keep tampons and extra contacts in there.
I want to go to just a wristlet. Essential cards, cash, phone.
But then there’s sanitizer, lip balm, mail file, bands, tissues, a pen, hand lotion, spare key if I’m not driving etc.
I could keep some things in the car but then again, I’m not always IN the car!
The Girl Scout in me is making this more stressful than it needs to be

I don’t feel like I need all of that when going food shopping or out to a club so I can minimize what I carry. If I am staying at places though for longer periods, I might need more things so I tend to carry a bigger bag.

The only time I use something really small is on vacations because I know I don't need my full wallet or the other things I carry. Like you mentioned, I don't want to leave things in the car especially in the hot summer.

Downsizing from a purse
I have always been a small purse person even with babies i used a small backpack. Now i use small crossbody that just holds my wallet and phone and maybe some other small things. If i'm out with the kids, i use a small backpack. I feel like bringing just a wallet and phone in a store without anything to put it in, increases your chances of getting it stolen.

Downsizing from a purse
If it is just me, I carry a wristlet. If I am out with the kids I have my big tote. They call it my Mary Poppins bag because I have everything in it. A few months ago my daughter forgot to put on a bra going to school (don't ask lol) and I had an extra one in my bag. I have no idea why but I'm like a boy scout and always prepared lol.
