How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?
My husband usually lets me decide, and I’m out of creative ideas. Keeping in mind my son has a freaking lacrosse game at 11:30.

How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?
The weather doesn't look too great for Mother's Day as of now. We usually go to Governor's Island, have a picnic, ride bikes, etc., but if it's icky out, we'll have to find something else to do.
I really hate when leagues schedule sports on Mother's Day!

Re: How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?
Probably just a normal day. I usually do my food shopping on Sundays and it is nice and empty in the stores on holidays.
I usually plant too as that is the first safe day to do so :)
My kids have been bad Mother’s Day gift givers after elementary school so we will see what they do.

Re: How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?
We take my mom to the country club we belong to for dinner. Usually my kids make me breakfast in bed. Other than that nothing much else.

My mother wants to have us all over for dinner. So, she's cooking. That's about it.

Re: How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?
We usually do a BBQ at my house, because I refuse to go out anywhere, but will probably be quiet because my son has a hockey game at 5pm.

I don't blame you as we have done everything in the last 23 years and going out to eat is just so overrated and expensive for a holiday.

I usually host every single year but one year my parents were away on Mother's Day so I was excited to be able to have the day for myself. DH booked us reservations for brunch. I was really looking forward to it- but it was a DISASTER. Even though we had a reservation we had to wait an hour for a table and then the service was awful. Never again will I go out to eat on Mother's Day.
I'm hosting brunch this year for my family

Yup, I have done restaurants for every holiday and they all had some type of issue from the service to the price to the food.

Yes, Mother's Day is the WORST day to go out to eat. Father's Day works out really nicely, however!

Father's Day we have always celebrated with family as it is warm enough to go in the pool. We just do a BBQ outside.

We do love going out for Thanksgiving. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than a normal day I suppose but where we go they are super organized with their reservations, and their staff is incredible. We've never had a bad experience with Thanksgiving at this place. Mother's Day is just a disaster- because no mom wants to cook I guess LOL

Usually spend the day with my mom and we order in food. However she will be away this year so will probably just spend the day home.

Re: How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?
I go to my mom's house with my kids. My brother and sister usually come by, too. We either all cook or order in. My brother offered to make dinner for my mom and I this year which I thought was very sweet.
