Re: Outdoor Brunch
Not sure of the area you are looking for but Snapper Inn or the View in Oakdale are both on the water and I believe they do brunch
I also I hear great things about the Shed- and I know the Sayville location has outdoor seating (not on the water though)

Outdoor Brunch
Morning rose in Bellmore had tables outside during covid but not sure if they still do. I also remember Jam in massapequa having some outdoor seating. Neither are by the water, though.

with inflation even the diner is expensive nowadays. We were away in June and the prices from last August jumped like $2-$3 per breakfast item at a local, casual, very plain, average joint. Like $11.50 for one egg, cheese and bacon on a bagel Omelets like $13 And this was not an expensive or fancy place- more like a diner.
And dont' even get started on fast food. I remember that used to be the cheap option. I just spend $16 at Wendy's for my daughter to get a small meal and I got myself something on the 4 for $4 menu. It's insane
But OP said preferable outside or on the water and no place on the water is cheap. They charge for the location and view .

Yes, I've noticed that in local restaurants and fast food too. My daughter and I had dinner at Panera. We each ordered a soup and a sandwhich and it was $35.

OMG where was that? My mom and I went about a month ago and for both of us, full sandwich, chips and drinks was $23.

I took my 2 sons (ages 5 &6) to the Oconee diner. I had a cup of coffee. One had scrambled eggs and bacon and the other had a waffle with a side of bacon. $39. NEVER again.

That's what I mean. If the diner is that expensive, I would love to hear someone tell me where they get breakfast or brunch for cheap. Because I'd be very happy to find the place and go there. Shit is out of control lately!

If you think that is bad, we were watching a YouTuber who went to Aulani in Hawaii and no lie, his breakfast was $74 for just him. His pancakes (with sausage and maybe eggs) was $46 alone (the rest was Mimosas).

The library cafe in farmingdale used to have a fairly inexpensive brunch.
There isn’t anywhere to have brunch where I live now (it’s bizarre- my town must have 100 restaurants, no brunch) so I’m the ahole who would gladly pay $$$ to get my hands on some morning carbs and mimosas.

Restoration in Lindenhurst has a nice outdoor brunch, not by the water though. I think any place by the water, you're going to be pay double for the view.

That's right. I live in the city and many places we used to go for brunch, are nor available fro brunch anymore. Looks like during the pandemic the narrowed their menu and stayed that way. That's too bad because brunch on weekends is one of the few meals I really enjoy.
