Best things to do in Hershey?
Besides the amusement park is there anything in town that’s a must-see?

Re: Best things to do in Hershey?
I can't add anything to a must see list, but I can tell you we just went and, if you are a family that likes rides, we were saying you need at least 2 full days in the park if you want to cover it all. I really underestimated how much time we would need because the last time we went, my little ones were too little for many of the rides and my oldest was too short for a lot of the bigger rides. Now that they could do more, we really needed more time.
Also, we ate at the Mill Iron Brewery I think it was called. Great food, good beer and very reasonable. Right on Chocolate Ave.

We went last weekend and the crowd levels were unholy. I recommend fast passes if you have kids who really like the popular rides because by the time we were at the park for 4 hours they had only rode 4 rides. The lines were insane. It doesn't help that the park does not open until 2 pm in the fall. And yes, Iron Hill Brewery is great!

Yes duh. My sister was trying to get our families to meet there that weekend, so I’m happy we decided against if it was that crowded. My kids would’ve been in misery.

They also had all the Halloween stuff going on, plus the park didn't open until 2 pm, plus many rides weren't running so it was just the perfect storm. I will say after going the past few years, the park has really gone down hill management wise. It's been overcrowded and just poorly run every time we've gone in the past 2 years.

Thanks we are going this weekend. It’s a holiday weekend so probably not ideal but it’s our first time and we are staying at the campground. I’ll probably do the fast passes

The fast pass is worth it because even though you end up paying more at least you'll get on more rides. So in order to get your money's worth you kind of have to pay more money. Sad, but true. But regardless we had fun and the Dark Nights Halloween stuff was very cool. Just pack your patience and go with the flow and you'll have fun

Ugh. We have never been to Hershey but want to take the kids. I keep hearing horror stories about the crowds and insane wait times. Thought it was just for summer but seems like not the case. My kids (and me!) do not do well with long waits (one of the main reasons Disney has not been on our list).

Before 2020 Hershey was fine. After the pandemic they decided to cut the hours and cut staff and never bring them back. So that is causing the issue. Everyone is just keeping their cost savings from Covid and not returning to normal and it saves these corporations a ton of money at the expense of the guests.
