Office collection thoughts
Just wanted to get some opinions on this. My coworker's dad passed away, so I offered to take up a collection from people that work here that want to contribute (because really, no one else would), and I was going to get her something like a door dash gift card. I emailed everyone saying if they'd like to contribute they can, gave my venmo and zelle info and told them they can also pay me cash, but to get it to me by Friday because that's when I'd be sending the GC. One of my coworkers (who I am not fond of) said he doesn't have zelle or venmo, but wants to contribute and doesn't have cash right now, but said he will get it to me on Monday. If you were me would you spot him or just leave his name off the card?

I agree. Hopefully he'll do the right thing and get the money to you but if not, you still did the right thing.

Yes, he ended up paying me yesterday. I was originally iffy about it, because at first he told me he'd have the money to me by Thursday and then said he didn't have cash on Thursday, and asked me to spot.
