Invisilign veterans come in
did anyone else drop to two meals a day so as to not have to do this procedure of tray removal/brush/brush and brush some more/tray replacement
more than 2x a day??
I'm on day 3

Invisilign veterans come in
My DH has them. He’s constantly brushing his teeth. The most annoying part is if we go to a restaurant he has to leave them out until he gets home and brushes. I’d also recommend getting a spare case. This might be a him issue and not an Invisalign issue, but I must get asked 15 times a day if I’ve seen his case. He has a supply of them now.

It definitely stopped me from snacking but I still ate regular meals. Why doesn't he just bring a travel toothbrush and toothpaste when he goes out to eat? It only takes a minute to quickly brush your teeth and brush the invisalign quickly. Or leaving it out for a couple of hours is not really going to matter.

Invisilign veterans come in
I was super careful at first, but after a month or so, I would just take them out before I went out to eat, then put them back when I went home. I didn't have any issues with my teeth not straightening, even though they weren't in for 21 hours.

That was the same for me - my insurance covered part of the cost.
And yes, they're expensive (mine were around $5,000), but I never have to stare at the giant gap in my teeth when I look at my photos! And I love having the Invisalign retainers at night. I tried a retainer a long time ago but they were so giant that I drooled all night.

My daughter has invisilign and the things I can recommend as she is almost done with them, and only on night time use is:
Have breakfast then brush teeth. Keep a case upstairs and downstairs. Have a travel case for use when you go out.
Get the cleaning tablets and a dedicated cleaning toothbrush. Before bedtime use water to clean the invisilign in small disposable cups. While brushing your teeth put them into a water cup to help clean them.

LOL it's for me. I'm so germphobic I absolutely refuse to brush my teeth in a public bathroom. that's a no go for me!
my ortho said do not leave them out for hours, it ultimately extends wearing weeks ughhh so i'm not into that either!

thanks, i'm doing something similar now at night. but i'm forgoing removing them when i'm not at home. way too much of a hassle and i'm so skeeved at the thought of doing this PROCEDURE lol in a public bathroom.
it's the invisilign diet! wooo!

Invisilign veterans come in
I'm looking into Byte for my daughter and they have night only aligners. The cost is 2k after they reviewed her impressions and created a plan. 12 week plan (she hates her front gap) and includes retainer. That seems short to me, but her teeth aren't really crooked at all. What kind of plan have those doing it through Invisilign been given out of curiosity?

I used to always brush my teeth at work so I guess I am used to brushing my teeth in a somewhat public bathroom. To my knowledge, I never got sick from it. Are you afraid there are germs on the sink faucet that will get onto the toothbrush?
I wouldn't leave them out for hours on a daily basis but if you go out to eat once or twice a week and need to wait until you get home to put them back in I don't think it will extend your time at all....

For a few reasons, I switched to wearing them at night only. This extended my treatment for a long time and we altered the plan, but treatment still worked. I had great results. It it just took longer. Once in a while, I would wear the aligners during the day at home. I have been in retainers at night for about 2 years now.

If you are referring to the permanently, attached retainers, I did not want them.
