I got this for DS teacher. I got a couple small things from bath and body works to go with it.

I think a gift card is the most appreciated gift, I've done Target, Amazon Starbucks and Panera

Re: Teacher gifts

Definitely a gift card because you don't know their tastes and sometimes I feel like they get so many little gifts that maybe it's too much stuff for them kwim?

Re: Teacher gifts

I like insulated coffee mugs with a top on it because I’m a klutz in the mornings…

That said small gifts under a certain amount are always appreciated. Not sure how it is over there, but I had to sign a “bribery clause” about the amount of gifts and how much they cost and when and how to report them.

I agree with previous posters -- go with a gift card! To make it personal, have your kid write a nice note. I'm pretty sure they like that more than "stuff".

some of the above are cutesy things, but i just wanna say as a teacher myself.... gift cards for coffee or someplace else is most appreciated. The other stuff is funny and cute, but not really useful and truthfully sits in a closet lol

ETA: any gift is appreciated and very thoughtful, don't get me wrong!

I usually always give a gift card and something edible. This year I had someone make thank you cookies.

This, word for word. I never eat any of the homemade stuff...I put it in the teacher's lounge. I appreciate the thought, but I just don't trust that the kids' hands weren't in it.

I'm honestly so glad you said this. For the past few years I've been just doing gc's and I sometimes worry that it's too impersonal and lazy.

I always think about what I'd want to be receiving as a gift from someone who isn't a close family member or friend who knows me well and it's always cash or gift cards, so that's how I make my decisions!

As a teacher myself, LOVE getting gift cards.
I just recently received Gift cards for coffee, such as Dunkin and Starbucks (dont go to often), but will use it, and Target.

I got my son's teacher a yeti koozie with a gift card to the brewery because God knows I owe him a drink or two after dealing with my little one all year.

I got my other son's teacher a Bru-mate insulated wine glass and these cool things I found in Home Goods actually. They are bottles with stuff in them that you add either vodka, rum or tequila to and put in the freezer and it makes cocktails. I tried a french martini one (gotta test it out!) and it was really good.

I just did a Target GC. Coffee is a personal thing and I don’t know what type she drinks. Everyone can find something at Target.

I did Dunkin gift cards. Costs me hundreds of dollars between my three kids, especially with my oldest because he has several aids, and therapists.
