I have never brought a gift. If they are having food at their house I might bring a dessert for that.

I dont really think you need a gift however if you want to bring something just bring diapers or wipes

I didn’t realize people give gifts for gender reveals. I would save the gift for the baby shower or birth. You can bring a dish or desert if you want to bring something or maybe a pregnancy gift for the expecting mother.

Gender reveal gift ideas
The gender reveal is catered so no food needed. This is a close friend. I got the couple a gift card for a couples massage.
