Vacation rec- grand cayman, antigua, st thomas or other?

We're looking to go somewhere new for thanksgiving this year. We are a family of 5 (kids 10, 12 & 16). I'm a foodie so we wouldn't do all inclusive.

Possibly looking at:
-Grand Cayman
-Antigua
-St Thomas
-other

Already been to:
-Aruba
-Turks
-Curacao
-St Maarten

Does anyone have any recommendations of one island over another? Any hotel rec's if so?
We typically like to explore, beach it, snorkel, etc etc.

Following......but out of the places you have already been, which was your favorite? We have a 6yo, which would be best for kids? Thanks!

What about St. John? You need to fly into St. Thomas and ferry over. IMO, it’s nicer than St. Thomas. I’ve also been to Grand Cayman and it was ok, though I prefer St. John.

Since you have already been to some amazing places.
Turks is one of my faves.
I will say I’ve spent time in st Thomas and St. John and it’s not great.
Can’t compare it to Turks

I’ve spent some time in Antigua. It was nice we had a beautiful 2 bedroom villa but the island is large and getting around the roads were not great. Lots of pot holes etc. food was ok

If your a foodie and want an amazing trip please check out St Barts. It is my fave place in the world. I’ve been there 15 times in 10 years. It’s small enough to get from one side of the island to the other by car in 20-25 minutes. An insane amount of amazing restaurants. Tons of shopping. And some incredible beaches which are all public. We usually always stay in a villa and there are so many to choose from and it’s easy to rent a car and get around.

Definitely Aruba. We have been to Aruba 6-7 times now with our kids and its their favorite place. Very relaxing. Everyone is so friendly. You can rent a car and easily drive around (on right side of the road). GREAT restaurants. Highly recommend.
St Maarten was great because of the company we went with, but not impressed with the food. It was very expensive and wasn't worth the price. Beach and excursions were great though.

*we are going to Curacao next month and it's our first time so no review yet.

Never been. Any recommendations on where to stay? Is it easy to rent a car and drive around?

I've heard St Barts is insanely expensive. Is that accurate? Coming from the eastern end of LI, most places are comparable to our norm so we usually don't have sticker shock at restaurants. Chat Icon Do you drive on the left side or right side of the road?
Where do you stay when you go?

In Aruba we've stayed at the Marriott surf club. Highly recommend. Lazy river and slide for the kids. Right on the beach and in the high rise section. Can walk to lots of places. Is a timeshare, but you can rent on redweek. Huge 1-3 bedroom units with washer/dryers in it.

For curacao, we're going next month and staying at the Royal Sea Aquarium. I wanted to stay at Avila but we're going with a group and it was already sold out.

St Maarten we stayed at the Simpson Bay Resort which was easy, 2 bedroom units and they had a shuttle that would often bring us to restaurants that were close. The only downside is their pool wasn't heated and was too cold in february, but we didn't mind as we mostly spent time at the various beaches anyway.

Turks we've been to on a cruise but have a trip planned for next february to stay for a week, so no review yet.
