got a bfp..now what?!
How long after finding out you were pregnant did you have to wait to see the dr? I got 3 bfp the other day - woohoo - on the home tests but until I hear it from a dr i dont want to get too excited. I got one appointment next week and i tried another place and they gave me 9/27. i know there isnt much there but i guess i was hoping i could get an appointment right away to confirm everything..help! thanks

I had to wait over a month for an appointment. But I am never late and got 2 BFP's so I figured it was correct, which is was!

They usually will not see you for a few weeks. I had to wait 3 weeks after my BFP to get an appointment

I had to wait a few weeks also. Usually they don't see your for 4 weeks or so, when you would be approx. 8 weeks or later.
I had a regular Dr. appointment after my BFP and they didn't do another test because he said that if I got a BFP on a digital HPT, that is just as accurate as if they would do it in the office.

I got a bfp this weekend as well and called the dr today and have an app on 8/30 next wed. i think it is to soon but ok if that is when i can!

My Dr.'s office had me come in right away for a blood test, and then another one a week later, but I didn't actually see the Dr. until I was 8 weeks.

I don't know how your girls wait so long.
I guess that's the one advantage of having to go through IVF. I'm monitored so closely for so often... weekly RE appts, bloodwork and sono, until I'm realeased to my ob/gyn after the first trimester.

I had a sched. appt with my doctor for tomorrow. So i am just going to tell her that i just got my BFP and get the blood test done. They are very good about that!

I called my doctor and they faxed over a prescription to Quest and I had my blood work back the next day. I also asked for another precription like two or three days later to see if my numbers increased. I then didnt have an appointment until 8 weeks.
I would try doing that. Just so you know.

The day that I got my BFP the dr. had me come in for a blood test. I got the results back the next day!! Congrats!!!
