Did you have numbness around the area of the incision? Does that go away?

Well I wouldn't touch it for a long time after but when I finally did yes, there was a numbness. I guess its from cutting into your nerve endings.

14 months later.... the area hasn't completely come back to its original feeling, but the numbness is not really that noticable. I suppose the pudge keeps it well protected Chat Icon

I have a scar from stitches on my knee that tingles much much more even after 15 yrs.

A bit, but it's not as numb as it used to be. I had Andrew 14 months ago. It healed so I can barely see it, but sometimes it itches and that takes some careful scratching!!Chat Icon

I have numbness but its only been 19 days since Kevin's birth plus I had other complications with the incision so I'm sure that contributes to it.

The nurse who comes to change my wound dressings says the numbness is normal.

I just wish the itching would go away!

same here- almost 4 years and still get the numbness feeling. Also, if I lift something heavy a certain way, I get mild pain in that muscle area. I think for some, it just never goes awayChat Icon

Re: For those who had c-sections...

I have mine for 6 years and I still have numbness. Of course, nothing compared to what it use to be in the beginning, but some areas are definitely numb. I am so use to it by now that it doesn't bother me anymore.

Re: For those who had c-sections...

I had mine almost 10 months ago and it is still very numb. It is also itchy at time. I can't really see the scar, as the overhang of skin is still blocking it. Does that ever go away? I told the OBGYN that I thought I was still swollen and she said "No that is just fat", thanks just what I needed to hear. Chat Icon
