Just doing it
We are not TTC yet, but I have been lurking on the board, and see that everyone is charting and doing Temps, and BDing on certain days and all these things.
Does anyone just "do it" and if it happens, it happens? I mean if you want a baby and are TTC - not just fooling around and saying if it happens, it happens? Do you know what I mean?

Those are kind of my hopes too, but I'm just trying to find my best chances of it happening by knowing which days are best, etc. I have started taking my temp every morning, but not charting or anything yet.

I am TTC and DH and I are just doing it. If it happens it happens. This is our attitude.

We started that way.
When that didn't work we moved on to temping and OPKs.

That is what I did the first month trying, but since I had just stopped taking the pill my first cycle was over 80 days long! I decided to chart & use OPKs just to see what was going on with my body and if I was or was not ovulating. We don't only BD when I am fertile and I don't tell DH when I am fertile either so it is only for me to know to make sure my body is adjusting back to normal. BUT... it helps me obsess a little more during the 2ww

I just did it and got a BFP on the second month and we were shocked....unfortunately it ended in m/c but we are going to try again and do the same thing. The only thing I did do was look up on babycenter.com when my most fertile days were, cause I was curious, but for the most part we BD when the mood strikes.

Everyone is NOT charting and temping. My doctor laughed at me when I mentioned charting and temping tellingme he hasnt recommended a basal body thermometer in 10 years. There is no reason to think I cant get pregnant by trying naturally. So we BD every other day at day 10 and thats it. I tried an OPK once and DH told me to stop because Id make myself crazy - he was right. If after 5-6 months, we arent pregnant, then we were instructed to go back to the doctor to look at other ways. The stress with keeping charts would takei ts toll on me - I have enough stress already.

we tried that but after a while , and nothing..we had to be more involved if we wanted to speed things up a little.
