you can get away with opaque tights - like black ones- but NO stockings - nothing nude
so opaque tights or nothing

you need to get seamless tights-- without the seam on the toe.
I think with a peep toe, it's ok-- I mean, it really depends how it all looks together though.

Dark tights with no visible seam are considered acceptable, though I still don't think I could do it.

I have never done it, but in the 40's when the look was very popular, women did it all the time.
I love the way women of that era looked, so I just wondered if anyone would do it today.
I would definitely rock that style...channeling Rita Hayworth, Lana Turner, Ingrid Bergman...all beautiful, classy, and stylish women.
