Spin off kinda-double dose of fear...

Does anyone feel like getting PG is only half the battle? I truly hate to be a pessimest, but I feel like I cant relax till Im actually delivering a healthy baby. My two losses are always on my mind. And I did treat my 2nd PG as if the bad times of the first didnt happen, or try to live without fear, but any advice how to stop worrying about holding the PG untill Im at least THERE? LOL Chat Icon

Re: Spin off kinda-double dose of fear...

One of the reasons that I opted out of the IUI this month (cuz they did give me the choice) was because they told me that with many eggs the chance of a healthy pregnancy is extremely small.
It's not that I want to get PG, it's that I want to have a healthy baby...so there is a lot of stress involved.

Yes it' the healthy baby that I want....the pregnancy is just what comes with that :) Gerty you made the right decision hun.....getting pregnant and but not having a viable pregnancy is not what you want to experience.

OMG..you put my feelings into words!

I am always sooooo concerned with getting pregnant and then I realize that all I want out of it is a healthy child! I get so scared that somewhere down the line I will either miscarry or something else will happen. It definately is a LONG road but well worth it. I know all of us will be holding happy, healthy babies very soon! Chat Icon

Everyone tells me that desp[ite all the worries DURING pregnancy....you REALLY start worrying AFTER the baby is born!!

Is he eating enough?
Is she warm enough?
What if she falls off her bike?
What if he gets in with the wrong crowd?

...and it goes on for the rest of your life!! Chat Icon

Re: Spin off kinda-double dose of fear...

I'm terrified that I'm going to be terrified during my whole pregnancy.

I don't want to stress about the baby and my health and be a nervous nelly the whole time, but I know that's how I'll be on the inside, even if I'm not showing it on the outside.

It is scary. My first PG caused my issues with anxiety, I was scared all the time. I told myself the 2nd time I would NOT be worried and truthfully I wasnt. I convinced myself it would turn out great. It helped me mentally but I was SO unprepared for my M/C...so Im not now sure how to be...Chat Icon
