Need help from telephone people
For the last 2 nights I have been getting calls from a fax machine in Quebec Canada (the number shows up on caller ID). The problem is that this happens at 12:30am, 1:30am, and 4:30am!!!!
Obviously we got on some automatic dialer, I've called AT &T and their solution is to change our telephone number - not something we want to do - does anyone have any ideas?

I had this problem once, too. It stopped after a couple of days. (Even auto-dialers eventually figure out that they have the wrong number, I guess!) I just turned the ringer off for a while rather than changing my number.

I turned off the ringer in the bedroom.
Now I can't seem to remember to put it back on!!

I had this to a couple of weeks ago but they were doing it during the day. Every 15 minutes the phone would ring, it was driving me insane and the phone company told me the same thing. I would just pick it up and hang it up again. It happened for like 3 days and then stopped..good luck, I know how annoying it is!

can you google the number and see if it shows up on a website? Then look on the website for a contact phone number and call them and tell them to stop calling you.

I tried doing that and it I couldn't find anything, only that it's registered to Norigen Communications (which looks like the Canadian version of AT&T/Verizon)
Thanks for all of your suggestions, we really can't turn off the ringer as my SIL is due any day and we don't get cell phone reception/service in our house

I had this happen on my cell phone a while ago. It went on for about 1 month. It drove me crazy. Finally...I took the fax number and sent a fax that said stop calling me, you obviouslly have the wrong number
It stopped shortly after
