? for EBF moms about Tri-Vi-Sol...
At Jesse's last check-up, the pediatrician asked if he was EBF and when I said yes, he recommended a liquid vitamin for him call Tri-Vi-Sol made by Enfamil. He said it's to help Jesse absorb calcium better.
Has anyone else's pediatrician recommended this? Does anyone use it? Jesse hates the taste of it (I can see why - it's awful). Does anyone know of any similar products we can use? Thanks!

Yes I used it with Logan.. My dr. told me it was very important because of the vitamin E. Logan didnt like the taste of it either, but I would give it to him slowly and then BF.... He also would spit up more after the vitamin, then after a normal feeding.

Andrew always took a Rx vitamin, I think its called PolyViFLor. He takes it for the fluoride. It's a yellow brown liquid and smells awful, but Andrew loves it. Don't ask, he'll eat anything!!

do they offer it in different flavors?
my son didnt mind it so much...but if you give him bottles of bm at all you could add it to that, or to cereal as well...

I have been giving this to Claire since around 2 months I think. She used to take it with no problem, but now at 7 months she spits it out most times. I am going to try to add it to a BM bottle and see if she will notice.....

when I was BF my ped said my MVI was enough. He didnt get any vitamin until 1 year. But also when I was done BF, I made formula with tap which has fluoride (NYC) so he didnt need a vitamin unitl he switched to milk.
