I just got Rachel Ray's 365 No Repeat Meals at my bridal shower. I only looked through it quickly but it seems good.

I love Rachael Ray 365 and the other book I use all the time is my Betty Crocker Bridal Edition.

I have the red Betty Crocker (I guess you could say it's a beginner one....it's got recipes for EVERYTHING basic, how to choose and store meat, etc.)
ANY slow cooker cook book since you can use a lesser quality cut of meat and get the same tender results.
do a search on google, ebay, amazon.com for budget cookbooks or cooking on a budget and a bunch of books will turn up!
