It's just kind of surreal -- like until we pass the 8 weeks at least (when I missed last time) I won't believe it.
It turns out I have MTHFR (which to me sounds like motherf-er but it isn't) - means I tend to have blood clots during pregnancy - so I am now taking MORE injections - Lovenox has been added to the mix. Am I repeating myself? Anyway, I have my fist u/s Oct. 12. Wonder how I will make it that long??

LOL thanks Donna - I tend to get carried away with good news so I am just trying to keep some perspective I guess. They won't do the u/s until the 12 because really until then there is nothing to see - and that as Lauren knows can be very stressful as well as totally inconclusive. So, as long as the beta is up next Wed. and I don't start bleeding ( ) then we should assume everything is A-OK.

Are you taking it easy? Please do - I am so praying for everything to be okay for you. It's good that they know you have MTHFR (I always think the same thing) cuz at least they are handling it.
My fingers are so crossed for you - May Oct. 12th be here soon!!!!!

I feel the same way about 8 weeks!!
And I ALWAYS call the MTHFR the motherf--cker disease!! 
It just reads that way to me.

I also have MTHFR and Factor V Leiden so my doctor recommended heparin shots as soon as I get pregnant. Not sure if you started them yet, but if you have can you let me know if it's worth than the fertility med injections?

Hey Karen - nah not so bad. The shot goes in the belly. I just do it AFTER the PIO since it is a blood thinner - I bleed a lot with the PIO if I do the Lovenox beforehand. It does sting a little, but I also started icing my belly a little beforehand and it isn't as bad. But believe me, if you've already been through an injectible IVF cycle - this is a piece of cake!
