Re: PEDRO
On the bright side (if there is one), Pedro spent a large part of the season on the DL. The Mets won a lot of games without him, and their record wasn't great when he pitched. He has been horrible recently (due to the injury). I'd rather he not pitch than pitch a couple of shaky innings during his starts. I assume Willie, Omar, etc. have been preparing for this possibility for a while. It's definitely a huge gap to fill and it will not be an easy road, but we'll have to hope and that the other pitchers come through.

Re: PEDRO
This definitely means the batters have to step up...The playoffs are going to be real nailbiters that's for sure.

DH basically said the same thing... It's actually a good thing for the Mets that he'll be out in the postseason... He was injured most of the regular season...and when he did pitch it wasn't 100%.

That's true. I gotta call DH on his cell and tell him. I had a feeling this was going to happen.
Thanks Pedro..
