I truely appreciate your help and your care and concern in my post the other day!

Re: The results of my Recurrent Fetal Loss Panel

Your homocystein relates to MTHFR but I don't see the MTHFR test in there. There are differing views on this but I tend to subscribe with the fact that homocysteine does not matter in relation to fertility. If you are MTHFR you may have to take a blood thinner and a special type of folic acid mixed with B vitamins(Folgard, Metanex)

In reading Lisa's post this could also be a bacteria or infection-read Lisa's post and check outthe website she posted. Please print out that list I posted yesterday and ask your Dr to check you for whatever has not been tested. I know you are missing things there-my results were much longer. I want to look into a couple of things-I'll get back to you. Keep your chin up!

Re: The results of my Recurrent Fetal Loss Panel

I had some blood work done as well since I have Factor V Leiden and MTHFR. I know that the hematologist said that what is most important to test for with regard to miscarriages is anticardiolipin. At least in my case that is. I have to admit he wasn't the best hematologist but I did end up getting tested and it was negative. Regardless, my new doctor wants to put me on heparin once I am pregnant.

Re: The results of my Recurrent Fetal Loss Panel

FYI your INR is normal
Q1 "Everybody on the list talks about their INR. I have no idea what mine is."

A1:If you are not on warfarin (=coumadin®) your INR is, in most circumstances, normal (i.e. around 1 – usually between approximately 0.8 and 1.2). If a patient is on warfarin (=coumadin®), I strongly advise him/her to become familiar with his/her INR, ask the physician for the value each time the INR is checked, and record it together with the warfarin (=coumadin®) dosing on a flow sheet (such as a coumadin® booklet or a spreadsheet).

If you can get through it read this about low homocysteine:

info

Thanks for looking that up for me since I'm real new to this. I want to go to that appointment with as much ammo as I can.

Re: The results of my Recurrent Fetal Loss Panel

Sorry I edited my post-maybe print that document and bring it with. It seems that low homocysteine relates to inflammation in your body which could affect implantation. Also lLaurie-demand that this Dr give you a MTHFR test.
