when do pets begin...
to recognise their names? i got a cat a few weeks ago and i am wondering when she will answer to her name. i have had many cats before, but i forget exactly when they start to realise their name is being called.

I have 4 cats (two are 6 and two are 4) and 3 of them answer to their names (sometimes) and one doesn't. I don't know if they're actually answering to their names, though because sometimes I'll call Mugsy and Clyde shows up! So, really, I think they just hear you calling and come.

mine come by name, for the most part when there not being stubborn my boy peanut knows his name cause he's always getting in trouble.
