Need help: just caught a stray kitten
 Dh called me this morning to tell me hefound little orange kitten near our building this morning. We agreed that if it was still outside when we got home, we'd take it in and try to adopt it out.
It is small, orange with white paws and looks relatively clean. He is currently in our bathroom. We cannot keep him- we have two cats of our own and are taking risk just by taking him in.
I called Kitty Kind, Animal Haven, BarC and Loving Touch and the automated messages said they are not taking any new kittens. I am going to run his little one to my vet tomorrow morning and see about fees for spay/neuter and a check up.
What else can I do for him, besides food and water? He ate and drank.
He was SCREAMING his head off. I'd let him out of the carrier, but he was so freaked out I thought he'd bite me or DH. He was clawing the carrier and I was really afraid he was going to hurt his paws. 
He finally quieted down, but I feel so bad for him.
If anyone is interested in adopting him, or knows someone who would like him, PLEASE FM me.

I wish I could- we have three and a dog.
I know you're in Brooklyn, but the Freeport Humane Society is a no-kill shelter. Good luck.

Any luck with the kitten? Orange tabby cats are the best - they are super affectionate. This kitty just needs some time and patience and it will probably come around - he is scared.
I'm sorry I can't help - I have 3 of my own plus 2 rescue strays in my basement that need homes. I just wanted to wish you luck. You did a good thing.
