Please help me find my DH's gift...
this technically belongs on Pets, but I need as many answers as possible.
DH, as many of you know, is sick. He'll be home for at least 6 months.
He wants a puppy...really bad. An English Bulldog puppy.
I looked at adopting one (getting one from a breeder when one is in need of adoption would hurt me) but they don't have puppies. The youngest is like 2 yrs old and in CA.
Can you guys please help me find a puppy (boy) for my DH?
We're in GA and prefer local (FL, SC, etc.) since I don't think a puppy can deal with flying. Or non-local if they can fly. I don't know.
I want to surprise him, he starts treatment tomorrow and I know it'll lift his spirits.

My neighbors in SI did get one from Clearwater, FL...the dog had no issues..I wish I had their number.

Janice...that would have been awesome.
Yes, I'm on Petfinder forever. No babies. Craiglist had a 14 mo. old...but it's gone.

call a vet in your area. they may be able to direct you to a shelter.

He wants a bulldog. He's always wanted one. We live in GA where that's the state mascot...so it's hard to get one from the shelter.

did you check out the american kenel club website..they have a list of local and licensed breeders.

Yes my friend has found bulldog's on criagslist before.
I just saw your post about having one but it's already gone. Try posting an ad saying you are looking for one. Make sure you specify you want a male and a puppy. I bet someone will contact you!
Also do you have a local paper? Mine always has things like this listed.
