Re: Montreal
DH and I had an amazing trip to Montreal!!!
We ate at some top notch French restaurants in the trendy part of town (can't remember the street right now) and this one steakhouse, Gibby's, was phenominal which was in Old Montreal. It was just a few blocks from the cathedral.
We did so much.. Botanical Gardens, the cathedral, Biodome, the casino, La Ronde-(the amusement park), going to the underground shopping area, did the bus tour to Mont Royal, horse & carriage ride in old town.
Also see if Cirque du Soliel is in town (or a group just like it) I understand there are alot of those types of shows that are in Montreal. We went to a spin-off group show and it was GREAT!

Re: Montreal
Thanks for the tips
We saw Cirque du Soleil in NY years ago...but you totally reminded me that they are based out of Canada. We just might have to catch a show!

Re: Montreal
Thanks!
We're staying at the Auberge du Vieux-Port...
I don't eat meat - just some fish. Did you find the restaurants to be very meat-centric? I know French food - in genreal - isn't very vegetarian friendly...so I'm a little concerned.
Did anyone dine at Milos? It's Greek...

Re: Montreal
Colleen-- Saint Laurent Boulevard is the street I was thinking of with the whole strip of restaurants. From what I remember there were a few Italian, Greek, French... Montreal has ALOT of Italian places if that helps. Also- I typed into www.googe.ca (Canadian google) and there are a whole bunch of restaurnat sites. I typed in Montreal restaurant vegetarian, and funny thing-- a few restaurants on St. Laurant showed up!
