The house at Schmitt Farms in Melville. Skip the corn maze - but the house was really, really good.

I work at 2 different Haunted Attractions:
1. Spookywalk in Center Moriches
Spookywalk
2. Darkside Haunted House
Darkside Haunted House
Spookywalk can get very crowded and it's not the best organized, but it is geared more towards children and helps raise money for handicapped kids.
Darkside is NOT for children. It has both an inside and an outside, and it gives me great pleasure in scaring people so much outside that they leave before going inside.
Darkside also has a myspace page:

Now my cousin works there, I think as a cashier or something

If you want to venture off of LI.. There's one in New Rochelle, that's really good... Not sure of the name, but a few of my cousins and I went and it was great... Very Scary!!!
