morning sickness
I'm so thrilled to be pregnant....but not as thrilled with the constant feeling of naseau I've been having. The best way I can explain it is that it feels like I'm carsick all day long. Any suggestions to make it bearable? I find that it gets a little better after I eat, but i can't very well eat all day long
Please help me.....

Re: morning sickness
Eeat WHATEVER you can! I stopped bringing my lunch to work in the first trimester because sometimes that's just not what I wanted - I had to see what I was in the mood for at that particular time.
I found having crackers at my desk, in my car, at home, etc. worked. Also pickles and potato chips (because of the salt) helped a lot. Also lemonade and lollipops were pretty good too.
Feel better - hopefully it will pass VERY soon!

Re: morning sickness
I was continually nauseous throughout my first trimester. I agree with eating whatever you can. I felt like my taste buds totally changed and most things repulsed me, especially meat. I ate and still eat a lot of comfort foods: mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, pizza, pasta. Not the most healthful of choices but really the only thing I could stomach initially. Now I am able to eat more fruits and veggies and try to have at least a serving with every meal. Since I'm not getting much protein I try and have peanut butter on an apple or veggie burgers or beans and rice. Of course, now I have a tremendous appetite and never feel full. I started to feel much better and less nauseous once the second trimester began.

Re: morning sickness
don't let yourself get too hungry. That was the worst. If you can, get up in the middle of the night, eat toast or cereal. If you throw up in the morning, its better to have something actually come up then all that heaving.

Re: morning sickness
You should actually snack all day long. You can snack on fun yet healthy stuff. I always had granola bars and crackers at my desk. Beware of cookies - those made me feel good too. 20 pounds extra too good but they definately made me feel better.
