yeah, i think, all in all, a wise move
he only has one more year left on the contract and unless they win the WS next year, i doubt they'll re-sign him
now they can concentrate on adding young players and ptiching to the mix, without the added headache of transitioning a new manager and dealing with the morale of the mainstay torre supporters.
