Sheppards Pie
I am going to try to make for DH's birthday. What else would I serve with it? Does anyone have a good recipe?

I just made Rachel Ray's shepards pie last night and my husband loved it! LEt me know if you need the recipe or you can probably find it on the food network web site. I made a side salad and garlic bread for sides. He really liked it!

They sell a shephard's pie flavor packet thing in the British foods section of stop & shop and my FIL who was born in Liverpool uses it and it comes out really good. I'm usually not a big fan of shephard's pie but this is very good.
I saute some onion, then mix in the ground beef -- brown that with the flavor packet .....
then do layers of the meat, some peas/carrots and top it with mashed potatoes.
yum.

I make it all the time. My husband & son love it. I hate it. It is VERY easy to make.
