Treats for Guys?

My husband is having a bunch of his friends over on sat nite for a poker game. I wanted to make a few quick and easy dishes for them to munch on besides chips.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Re: Treats for Guys?

This is an AWSOME taco dip that goes over well at EVERY PARTY I HAVE and it's soooo simple:

2 cans hormel chili, no beans
2 small jars of salsa or 1 large
2 packages shredded taco cheese (I buy sargento)
1 bar of cream cheese
jalapenos

In a baking dish, mix the chili and the salsa together. Then, slice the cream cheese into thin slices to cover the chili/salsa mixture. (you are best off leaving the cream cheese in the fridge until ready to slice because it is firmer and easier to slice!)

Put in the oven at 400 degrees until warmed through (probably 30 minutes)

Then put the cheese on top and bake another 5 until the cheese is melted. Top with sliced japenos and serve with Tortilla Chips (scoops work well and so do Tostitos gold as they are stronger)

My Dh had the guys over last week. I got a bunch of stuff from BJ's---they had already made mesquite wings back by the whole chickens that just needed to be heated up and the guys like them. I also got pigs in a blanket, mexican stuff(the package has little tacos, chicken taquitos and beef taquitos) and these little buffalo wrappers that they loved.

I also made sweet and sour meatballs--you can search the recipe on here they are always a big heat. Last time the guys were over I made a huge pot of chili.

Tomtato Bacon Cups
They are super easy to make and taste really good, I made them for DH and his friends when they were watching a game and they loved it!

If you do a search on allrecipes.com the recipe will come up.

Re: Treats for Guys?

I went to my neighbors the other night and one of her friends brought meatballs in a crockpot.

I am picky when it comes to meatballs and sauce (I am Italian - enough said) but I thought they were sooo good!

On the DL she told me they were BJ's meatballs in a bag AND Prego jar sauce from BJ's. I couldn't BELIEVE it! They were sooo good. She said she first cooks it all together in a pot and then transfers it to a crockpot. It did NOT taste like Jar sauce at ALL. (I usually HATE Jar sauce)...

Next event I have to go to - I am hitting up BJ's first!
