Question -- Italian Wives Tale
What is the Italian Wives Tale about putting the ring on a string.
I need to know if it goes back and forth is it a boy and if it goes round and round its a girl.
I googled it and can't find any info.

I have to tell you I really don't believe in stuff like that but back in 2003 when I was pregnant with my DS (I didn't find out what i was having) me and 4 other girls at school were pregnant at the same time. We all did it and in the end the ring was 100% correct for all of us. FREAKY!!!

Hold it over your belly button. I think it has to be a solid ring (no stones) I'd have to use DH's to try.

It is, but supposedly if there are stones in it then the balance can be thrown off. I remember having this debate when my friend was PG with her first. Her whole family from Italy was over for the Bridal Shower and they were yelling (very loud & in Italian) about it. Of course who the heck knows anyway?
