WEEK LATE &2 NEG TESTS

Question: I've been on estostep 6 or 7 months and usually get my period with in 2-3 days after pill cycle. It is now early Monday morning, a week after the Sat I stoped taking them. (8 days late)I was supposed to start new pills last night but I was scared to incase I am pregnant. I took a HPT Wed and Sat both were negative. really cant afford doc visit right now. Any one have ideas. Is this normal for birth control?

You really can't be sure either way until about day 11-14 after ovulation.

I dont have that info for you, but nows the time to find some kind of health plan for yourself if you dont have one - if you are pregnant, the bills are going to be off the charts without any kind of plan - I am floored to see how much each visit is before my health insurance pays for it - if you think going to the dr. now will be expensive, if you are pregnant, then its going to be unreal - talk to your dr. about plans you can go under - talk to someone....

i got pregnant with my son while on the pill...ortho tri cyclin to be specific....I was not on any antibiotics...but I did take cough medicine in the month I became pregnant.

Also my sister and my cousin became PG while on the pill.

Can you remember the dates that you BD? If it isn't 12-14 after them, than you wouldn't have enough of the hormone to show up on a HPT.


Personally, I would not start a new pack (just in case) and wait it out, if you can't afford the dr. Just use alternative BC this month instead and start again next month.
