Making important plans in your 8th month?

I may need to take my november exam in March - about 1 month before the baby is due. If I dont do it in March, I will do it in June when I have a 2 month old baby.

My career depends on passing this exam....

Should I take my chances and register to take it in March, when I am due in a month, uncomfortable, and hopefully not confined to bed rest (no reason to think this will happen, but you never know)

OR

do I take it when I have been up all night and sleep deprived from a 2 month old baby???

This is a tough one, obviously!!

Can you register for the March one and prepare for it, and see how you're feeling then? Is there a large fee involved in taking the test?

I'm just thinking that you'll probably have more time to prepare for the March test, and if you're not feeling up to it then you can cancel it (unless there's a lot of $ involved). Then you could take it after the baby arrives, but I'm sure you'll be just as exhausted (or more) with a newborn at home than when you're 8 mo. pregnant, you know?

I'd go for March too; I know two women who took the NYS bar exam around 8 months preggo . . . and they both passed! Also, I wouldn't want to have a test hanging over my head when there's an newborn to look after (JMHO). HTH!
