Marley & Me
I just got this book for my birthday and I'm about 2/3rds of the way through and I love it. I don't know if it's just the hormones, but I've laughed and I've cried through the whole thing. I'm really nervous about getting to the end....I have a really bad feeling I'm gonna be sobbing for a long time.
If you don't know, Marley & Me is a bestseller true story told by the man about his life with a yellow lab he and his wife got when they were first married. It goes through their miscarriage, a preterm labor at 21 weeks, violence in the neighborhood, the children growing up and how he and the dog go through everything. I have a big, doofy 8 month old chocolate lab who does all the same things, so I can relate.
I should have waited to read it...it's like trying to watch the Notebook now...cry, cry, cry.

I love this book too...I read it on our honeymoon before we had our dog OR I was pregnant, but I just cried (and am tearing up right now) at the part with the miscarriage and how loving the dog was.
I think about that a lot when my dog cuddles up next to my belly every night.

I finished it last night. I cried for like an hour. I cried the the last couple chapters and for awhile after I was done. My doofy dog just barked at me the whole time I was crying.

I love that book! And it's not just your pregnancy hormones. I read it before i got pregnant and cried like a baby the last few chapters.

I wanted to share that I just finished the book today-and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It made me cry of course...but if you havent yet read it, esp. if you are a dog lover....read it!

He really wrote that ending well... the sad part made me cry but it was gently written.

I've honestly been on the lookout to buy this book. And I will. But now you guys are telling me about the sad parts, ugh, that is just sooooo gonna kill me.
I obviously have a pretty good feeling how it ends......or how it will end......and I hate being sad. Especially when it comes to dogs.
