So, here's my latest update......................

THings have been crazy hectic around here lately.

My mom ( she's bi-polar and depressed for years) took 60 pills last week in one sitting- she is ok but is now in a psychiatric hospital. ( she seems to visit it every year- @ the same time )
SO, we are now watching her dog Lola- who we love.
Between my mom, her dog, regular stuff I have been running around like a lunatic.

AF came- so I went ot my Fertility dr. and we did CD3 blood on Tues.

I have a HSG scheduled for 11/6
HSN for 11/10
PCT for 11/14
ENDO fir 11/17
and need to drop off a sample for Dh's SA

ETA- after all is done, I will meet with Dr. to see what all the findings are and whats next.


Dh & I are leaving for a week 11/18- 11/25 for Acapulco for some much needed r&r. That will cover our anniversary, my bday and THanksgiving.



I am petrified of the HSG, HSN & endo so please feel free to weigh in on them.

Can I go myself or do I need to bring someone?

I am hopeful that this process is moving on and we will get answers, but part of me is scared to.

HOpe some of you are well on your way to the pregnancy board- I need to catch myself up on the latest around here.

I can only tell you about the HSG. It was fine, really.

I had some mild cramping, but took some advil two hours before hand, and I also went by myself.

Wow! First of all, tons of hugs for you I hope your mother is okay and I am sure it gives you some comfort that she is in good hands at the hospital.

I want to commend you for being so proactive with Diagnostic testing! YOu are truly an inspiration!

As for the HSG, I went by myself. What is a HSN? I feel so stupid b/c I have been on these boards for sometime and I do not know what HSN stands for.

After all of this, you are going to need a much needed vacation! You deserve it! Have Fun!!

Juju a HSN is a hysterosonography.
I think it's similiat to a HSG but the use saline solution instead of dye? I am not even 100% sure but the Dr. wants a complete fertility workup on me.

Wow - you have a LOT going on!! to you.

My experience with the HSG (didn't have the HSN) and the endo were that the endio biopsy hurt a lot. It wasn't excruciating but I definitely knew it was there.

For the HSG, I was SUPER scared but it turned out to be easier than a pap, for me.

For both, I took four Advils before and after. Mild cramping but otherwise, nothing to write home about.

I am sorry about your mom - this must be a very difficult time for you

The HSG - I took Advil, barely felt it. I was fine, drove there and home myself.

Do you have the results back from your CD3 blood work? That may tell you some things and perhaps render some of the other tests as unnecessary. But I hope the results are good!! They should have them by now -- I always got mine the same day...

sorry to hear about your mom.

best of luck with all the tests. i didn't have a hsg, but the water sono was very easy and i thought the endo biopsy was a little painful. i drove myself both times with no problem.

I can't help you with those tests, I haven't had any. I do have to say that it's great, whoever your Dr. is, they are being so proactive in your treatment.

Hugs and Prayers to your mom during this difficult time, the seasonal disorder may just be her problem, but I am sure the psychiatric hospital will be able to help you out there.

Lot's of luck to you and enjoy your vacation - looks like you are earning it this year!!!

I didn't get my cd3 results yet. I think he wants to do a full workup on me before he draws out a plan.

So basically, I believe I am going to do all these test and then we have an apoointment @ the end of the month to discuss "what's next". I can't until that appointment.


As far as my mom is concerned, it does seem to be a seasonal problem. She will never be "normal" but something trigggers this suicidal over the top behavior every year @ this time through the holidays. By January she is usually over it.
It's been trying, but, it is what it is.

I have been in touch with her psychiatrist she regularly sees as well as her social worker and am going to soeak with the psychiatrist @ the hospital.
