Has anyone ever made mac & cheese in the crockpot? UPDATE
I found this recipe at the crockpot website.
Seems easy enough...
just wondering if anyone had any recipes for some kind of pasta in the crockpot, or if you have tried this recipe at all...
Macaroni and Cheese
Ingredients:
3 cups cooked macaroni
1 Tbs butter or margarine, melted
2 cups evaporated milk
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Directions:
Add ingredients to stoneware. Cook on High for 2 to 3 hours, stirring twice.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I love onions but not in my mac & cheese.

I would leave out the onion as well...I have never had mac and cheese with onions! Let me know how it turns out!

I made it today minus the onion and OMG it was delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really? I was nervous that the pasta would get mooshy. Did you cook it aldente before putting it in? I'm so going to try it! Thanks.

YEs, I cooked it al dente, but I also ran it in cold water (like I as making pasta salad) before adding it into te crock pot.
If I did not, it would ahve been too mushy I think

I made it tonight and found it to be VERY cheesy - did you use mild cheddar or sharp? I used the middle one, and I think next time I would use the mild.
