did you go to a perinatologist INSTEAD of a regular ob??
anyone ever hear of dr. andrew mckenzie in mineola?

YES!! I started going to Madonna Perinatal when I was 5 months pregnant. Dr. MacKenzie is TERRIFIC.
ETA: I went to Dr. MacKenzie in addition to my regular OB

I saw a perinatologist instead of my regular OB. She is Chief of OB at Winthrop. i hear she is no longer accepting private patients. I think you have to be referred by your OB and followed by him also.

My regular OB referred me to MacKenzie because I became high risk after getting fifth disease. I'm pretty sure you have to have a regular doc first. Never hurts to find out, though. I'm not sure if he delivers - he followed me up to delivery but my regular OB delivered my babies.

I see Dr. MacKenzie too and love him. Even my DH likes him and he usually always says dr.s are just OK, even if it is a dr. I really like. He is so down to earth which I love! And he remembers you--I HATE when you go to a dr. a few times and they barely remember you.
I see him in addition to my regular OB which I think is what you have to do. Then Dr. Mac communicates with your OB but you need the OB for delivery I beleive.

Nadell/Lopresti/Dilena's group - stewart Avenue in GC. They work very closely with Madonna physicians.

Lisa Pedsnurse on the IF board used to work at Winthrop in L&D. She is really sweet and can probably give you some recommendations..!
