Britney/K-Fed Divorce -- Nasty Turn
TMZ has learned Kevin Federline may fight Britney Spears for custody of his children. Federline has not had much time to react to Spears' decision to end the marriage, and that's because she didn't tell him in advance that she was filing for divorce. Federline was caught flatfooted when TMZ broke the story Tuesday that Britney filed legal papers in L.A. County Superior Court.
Spears has asked for sole custody of the couple's two small children. TMZ is told Federline is thinking of challenging that, even though Spears has functioned as the primary, if not sole parent, as Federline tours the country hawking his CD.
Federline almost certainly cannot challenge the prenup. Sources say hotshot divorce lawyer Laura Wasser drafted an air-tight prenuptial agreement before the couple married. So Federline's only chance of cashing in is by mounting an ugly custody fight, trying to force a more lucrative settlement. But friends of Spears say Britney will fight a holy war to prevent Federline from getting custody and, given his track record -- or lack of it -- with the kids, it would appear Spears has the clear advantage.

I hope Britney squashes that loser. The only reason he'd want Brit's kids and not Shar's is for the money. Until the little one is 18 she's going to have to put up with him buzzing aorund her.

that's disgusting if he tries to get custody just to get more money. I remember hearing that his settlement is $10MM if they divorced--that should be enough to get him by, plus his recording career is bound to take off

The two of them disgust me. Why did she marry him and have two children with him, just to get divorced? What was she thinking? Those poor children.

I know I was just thinking he did not fight for custody for his kids with Shar now did he. Any small momentary feelings of sadness I may have had after watching that video are so gone.

How on earth can he petition for custody of Britney's kids when he even didn't wait around for the birth of his second child with Shar? Britney is such a dipsh!t for marrying this guy in the first place.

There's always the possibility that the pre-nup provided that if K-fed challenges custody in the event of divorce then he would lose his right to receive certain $$$ under the pre-nup (sure hope it was drafted that way for her sake!).

no if a statement about contesting cuustody is in a prenup it could void the prenup - each parent has a right to custody and public policy wants both parents in the children's lives
but hopefully the judge is smart and realized the only reason he wants custody is to get more money and he should not allow it
