Ortho-tri - KILLER migraines
Yasmine - bloating (although my boobs got HUGE and stayed that way!!!)
Lo-estrin - depression - breakthrough bleeding
Mircette - depression - breakthrough bleeding
Ovcon 35 - breakthrough bleeding
I've been on almost everything in the past 6 years or so. I'm actually going off BC starting on Sunday to clear my body out for a while.

Yasmin. Only negative side effect is that I get super emotional around my period -- moreso than when I was not on BC

Othro tricyclene (the generic of that)
I have been on it for about 6-7 years, no side effects, it helped me with my cramps for sure though...
Ditto! I'm on the generic of OrthoTriCyclen called Tri-Prevafem and have been for about 3 years. I have no reactions whatsoever.

ovcon 35, not ONE side effect. and my period is exactly every 28 days and last about one day only. i love this pill.

Skin cleared a bit
The last 2 years or so, I got crazy spotting!
Just started Ovcon 35 last month.
Doc put me on this to hopefully fix my spotting, it's got more progesterine in it. But I'm supposed to give it 3 months or so before I see a difference. So far, not helping.
My sister has been on EVERY pill imaginable! And has also stopped taking the pill for years, and just spots all the time! Here new DOC put her on Ovcon 50. So far with no luck.
Every person's body is different and reacts differently to every pill.

Basically, I've gone through every birthcontrol out there in order to make my boobs grow... (never happened for me)
But seriously, I was put on BC for a medical condition, so I've been on it along time and been on about 14 different kinds.
The only ones that I had serious issues with were:
Ortho Tri Cyclin: I bleed for 41 days straight!!!
Yasmin: Depression/Migraines
I was on Nordette for a long time but had to switch b/c I started spotting.
Now I'm on the chewable Ovcon 35, no compliants, no side effects at all.

I was on Yasmin for about 3.5 years with no side affects...I loved it - I had no cramps - my periods were on cue every month and it didn't make me bloated (it also works as a water pill)...my periods lasted 3 days at the most...that was a HUGE plus, it made my skin clear
Last May...I suddenly started to not feel well...bad headaches and terrible acid in my stomach EVERY morning...I went off of BC for 5 months and felt fine...I just started YAZ - which is the lower dosage of Yasmin...so far so good...

I will NEVER trust the pill again. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't LOVE my  more but it took me a while to fully embrace the fact that I was becoming a mother about 3 years before I expected. Now that he is here, I can't imagine my life any different.
But be careful!!! That 1% could happen to you!!!

I was on Levelen 28 for 4 1/2 years... no weight gain that i noticed... cramps reduced GREATLY... however, my sex drive plummeted after about 3 years on the pill.
I just started loestrin, so far, so good

I am not on it anymore, but i was on Seasonale. The only side effect I had was spotting sometimes, but ot was rare. My cramps were about the same, but my period was shorter.

ortho tri cyclen lo. switched from orhtho tri cyclen, don't feel a difference. little to no moodiness, 2-3 days of bleeding, 1/2 heavy rest light. control my acne a lot.

I've been on Ortho-tricyclen since 1999 due to too frequent periods (I was getting it at least 2x a month).
I take it before bed, and if I don't get enough sleep, it makes me really nauseous in the morning. Other than that, I really haven't had any side effects.
It made my period shorter but heavier, my cycles longer, and I actually started getting cramps! However, it's all worth it to not have AF visit twice (or three times!) per month!

I know some cause weight gain...and while I wouldn't mind some boob growth, I DO mind the a$$ growth.
Also, if you have bad periods in general, did it make the symptoms better?
