HSG cost?
does anyone know how much HSG will cost?
I have insurance but my deductable is like $ 3600. I just want to be prepared for the big shock.... I asked my OB and she had no clue. I called the insurance (didn't say for infertility, I said it's for pelvic problem) and insurance can't quote without a "procedure code". Does any of you have a clue?

When are you having it done?
Insurance cant tell you like they said without the code and sometimes they need the price of what they are charging you as well. ( I can tell you how to get around that)
I work in insurance...I can get you the Procedure Code on Monday if you want.

My HSG was $536. But I live in Texas. I am not sure if it is higher in NY. The hospital allowed me to pay $300 upfront and they billed me for the rest.
As for your deductible.....is the $3600 combined for you and your husband? Because we had a deductible of $3000......$1500 for me and $1500 for DH.

mine was 810.00 and it was coded as infertility and that was all it can be coded for- even though it isnt an infertillity issue. My insurance didnt cover it, so we worked out a deal and I paid 436.00 here in nassau radiologic group

We have a $3600 family deduction but I have over $1000 in my medical spending account. At least now I know it will be within $1000!
my OB said she will put the diagnosis as" pelvic pain", you think insurance will believe it?
