House breaking Abby
Is it too late?
Shes 6 and 1/2 months now and has been using the wee wee pads since 10 weeks.
At first it was cause she was less then 3 lbs and she hadnt had her shots, then I guess laziness.
But I dont want her to go inside no more.
Is this goign to be hard to teach? Am I going to confuse her?
Any advice?

it should be totally fine. it may take longer now but im sure she'll get the hang of it.
use the method of moving the pad closer to the door and then eventually outside and then she shouldnt need it by that time anymore

ITs hard cause we are in an apt....So I can get it close to the door but then what?
She is also too small to go down our front steps...We have to carry her down...so its kinda awkward to teach ya know?
ANy suggestions on HOW to do this?
How do we start?

do you crate her?
Because you can try in the morning when you take her out of the crate, immediately take her outside...she will "NEED" to go badly, so she will...make take a few minutes til she finds the right spot...
Than you can try taking her in the afternoon around the same time she would normally go, and take her to the same spot...
after she eats or whenever her normal schedule is-take her to the same spot...
and any time she is in the crate and you take her out go to the same spot and eventually she will "Find her scent" and go
and when Boogie was a baby we put a bell on the door we would always go out and we would ring it when we we were going out. The goal was to have him jump up and touch it (so it would ring) when he had to go- This did not work with us, but I know it has worked for other people

She is crated at night yes...
during the day shes not which is what Im scared of. She is restricted though to the kitchen and living room area...her wee wee pad is in the kitchen.
I dont know how long to leave the wee wee pad down for once we start?
If I remove it completly right away is she going to know to hold it in?
I dont think so....

I cant....She will bark loudly all day long and we live in an APT. complex, we'd get kicked out.
I wouldnt mind if we lived in a house where no one could hear her.....
ETA_ shes only alone for about 5 and 1/2 hrs a day and I knwo she can hold it for that time, but will she KNOW to is the question KWIM?
