BFing both at once
Was anyone ever able to do this? We tried it once and both DDs screamed their heads off. I also think it would be impossible without someone helping you & also how do you burp them both at the same time?
The books make it look so easy I was just wondering if anyone was able to do this? Before the girls were born I thought BFing would be so easy if I was able to do it all at once but I'm finding that's not the case.

I think it is amazing that your breastfeeding at all.
I have obviously never done, but assumed that is how I would do it if I do breastfeed.
I saw it done on "Bringing Home Baby" but the women on had either her mother or husband assisting her (passing babies, letting the 1st one start and then passing the second and assisting her)
I give you a lot of credit.

I'm planning on breastfeeding and hope to work up to breasfeeding both at once.
Are you planning on goign to the twin mommy group tomorrow night? I'm sure some women there have experience with it.
I bought a book about breastfeeding multiples. I will try to remember to write down the name and bring it for you. Otherwise I'll just FM you when I get a chance.

Yes and actually one of my nurses from the hospital belongs to the club - I may seek her out she was so helpful in the hospital.
Ok, great thanks. The only BFing book I have has a section but not an entire book dedicated to it. THX!

I was never able to get the logistics of doing it. I did read that if you use pillows to help prop the babies up.

I tried to do both ONCE and it was so crazy trying to organize the logistics of where each baby was... I did order a book from Amazon (when I was still pregnant) that specializes in bfing multiples. If you're going tonight, Laura, I'll bring it for you... maybe it can be of use!

I did do it sometimes, but for the most part I only did one at a time. It certainly wasn't easy, but the nurses in the hospital worked with me until I was able to achieve this before I left the hospital. For me, it was just easier to do one at a time, even though it took longer. When I did both, I had the bobby pillow around my waist and had them both in the football hold. That was the easiest way for me.

Wow that's incredible I give you credit. Although I'm glad to hear I'm not alone on not being able to do both at once!
Jen that would be great, thanks...although I'm getting discouraged, the last two times I fed DD she projectile vomitted. I just did it and I haven't eaten since last night so not sure what it could be.
