Re: Updates.........
DDs are 3 weeks - last visit they each gained close to 1 pound (that was in one week! )...we go back in 3 weeks for their first shots () and a checkup.
One DD is eating around 3 oz., the other 3 1/2. They sleep 3 hours during the night - every once in a while 4. Looking forward to when they sleep longer!!!! Poor DH having to get up and go to work - we each got about 4 hours of sleep last night, they wouldn't go to sleep!

Re: Updates.........
Mine are 9 weeks. I am not sure of their weights, we take them to the dr. on friday for their shots so i will find out then but when i weigh myself w/ them on the scale Kelly is about 9 pounds and James is 12. Kelly is a GREAT sleeper, she usually sleeps about 7 hours straight at night, james is up every 4 hours. James drinks about 5.5 oz at a feeding and Kelly is at about 4.5 oz.

That is awesome...Matthew used to be a GREAT sleeper, I dont know if its because they have stuffy noses that are wking them up sooner

The ped. prescribed him Axid... it apparently tastes A LOT better than the standard medication... it tastes like bubble gum. She also recommended that I use rice cereal mixed in with the formula in the bottle - I'm going to start that at the next feeding. I was just about to transition the boys to ordinary formula but in light of the reflux issue, they're going to stay on Neosure for the next month.

Mine also recommended putting the rice cereal in his bottle as well, what a mess it made. I didnt see a difference but hopefull your little guy will. I may try it again, but have to get the correct Dr. Brown's nipples for thick liquids.

I just ran to BRU after our appt. so I have all of the supplies ready to go. I am nervous, for some reason, whenever I switch their routine... you never know what'll happen

Re: Updates.........
I know what you mean. Did you buy the Y shaped nipples? You are using Dr. Brown's right??
Good luck...let us know how it goes. I may switch back to the rice cereal in the night feedings, that is when he seems to be very fussy

Re: Updates.........
Hi Ladies! My little loves will be 4 months on the 12th and are doing great! Michael was 12 1/2 pounds two weeks ago, Maddie 11 1/2. They smile constantly. They are sleeping through the night - usually from 8 or 9 pm until 6 - 6:30 in the morning. Maddie's reflux is just about gone - Thank goodness! I highly reccommend thickening the formula with the rice cereal. It's about the only thing that worked.

Re: Updates.........
Hi everyone. Glad to hear everyone's babes are doing well. My boys are just about 12 weeks and are doing great. Jack is weighing in at 12lbs 3 ozs and Kevin is 12lbs 13ozs and both are measuring over 23 inches. They got big so fast.
Sleeping is pretty good too. I usually put them down around 10ish and they sleep for me till about 5 or 6. I then feed them a quick 4 ozs and they sleep again till 8 or 9 for me. It's been nice after the craziness that it was in the beggining. They usually take about 6ozs a feeding now...except that early AM feeding - I only give them 4 in the hope they will drop it soon.
I am going back to work next week. I am actually looking forward to some alone time for myself. The boys will be fine with family so that makes it easier as well.
I also plan on joing the NCMOTC but will wait till the January meeting since things are still hectic for me and Hicksville is a drive for me. So i am hoping to meet some of you soon.
Oh also, for the newer moms...I had the boys on enfamil in the beginning but switch over to the Enfamil AR because Kevin was spitting up a lot....that seemed to make them sleep longer. Its much thicker then the regular enfamil.
