Turkey impaired
What is up with the metal thingie sticking out of the turkey's azz? I assume I'm supposed to remove it... but it doesn't want to come out. What gives?
Clueless is not even the word here. Please help.

My mother just complained about this yesterday. She makes my father take it off. Also - don't forget to take the bag out of the cavity.

Glad I'm not alone... my DH couldn't get it out either! 
Thanks for the tip about the bag - I did know about that one and I'll be making DH take THAT out too. It sounds too gross to touch.

The bag is so gross. My mom takes whats in the bag and makes a stock out of it with carrots & celery and then uses it to flavor the gravy.
