I have not been to barbados-but dh has and i saw pictures
I preferred St. Maarteen (sp?) over Aruba

I love St. Marten so much, the water is fantastic.
I haven't been to Barbados in a long time, so I am no help there.
Never been to Aruba, but have heard great things about it.
I think if I was going on a week long trip I would pick Aruba. It seems to have a lot to do and a lot of different restaurants.
As much as I love St. Marten, I am not sure I would go on a week long vacation there, I feel I would get bored.

We went to St. Maarten this summer for a week. It was relaxing and nice, the water was great, but I didn't love the island. We are going to Aruba this March and I cannot wait!

I've only been to Barbados -- we picked it because the literacy is so high, and crime nearly non-existant. Also not in the hurricane belt.
Some of the top restaurants in the world are there.
It is very classy -- it is expensive, but I think that keeps it somewhat exclusive. No tour groups, no beer-swigging macho men trying to pick up trampy chicks. It is more sophisticated.
I can't compare to the other 2 island but compared to Jamaica- about 20 cuts above!!
