I usually wear a black tailored skirt suit for my "initial" interview. If I have a follow-up interview, I wear a pant suit.

the only suits I own are pant suits. IMO with a pair of pointy heels, it looks better than a skirt suit.

I never wear suits-- I just put together professional looking outfits... but I work in a creative industry. IMO skirt suits are more conservative.

I used to wear skirt suits only. I haven't interviewed in a long time but now most of my suits are pants and I think I would wear a pants suit to an interview now.
