Cat Rescuer's?
I found a colony of ferel cats, it looks like the mother cat and about roughly 10 of her kittens, looks like maybe 2 litters; first set maybe 6 months old and 2nd litter about 2-3 month old kittens..
So I called North Shore and they said to contact a local shelter, I didnt even say where I found them... Then I called Little Shelter in Huntington and the woman said do they have a food source and I said I don't think so because I had some bread in the car and I gave it to them and they all practically came running out and the smallest kitten of all was right next to me eating like crazy where the others where sort of scared.. I gave her the address but 3 days later the kittens are still there..
Is there a shelter anyone know of that will rescue these poor kitties?
Thanks

Re: Cat Rescuer's?
There is a newtwork of cat rescuers on Long Island. The Long Island Cat Project.
They have trappers, information on free and low cost spay neuter and vet services for ferals. The website is www.licp.org
Go to the site and either contact the trapper closest to your area or a HUB. Both can help you get started.
